The LION youth have been leading a project called Teen Grantmaking Initiative, TGI, a youth philanthropy program where the youth raise funds through different activities and grant the money to a non-profit organization that offers community-focused programs throughout the year. Any organization can apply for it as long as they meet the requirements that’s on the link below. It's due March 31, 2016 and the grantee will receive up to $1000. Today's Youth + YOUR Support = Tomorrow's Leaders

The youth track of The Arab American Snnaac youth summitummit presents the chance of a lifetime for activist and civic-minded youth to strengthen their voices and get on the path toward a life dedicated to leadership.

These select youth will learn alongside young professionals and adults how to enhance the civic engagement of Arab Americans. An entire day at the Summit will be led by the youth and for the youth. They will direct workshops and teach other youth about the initiatives they have started in their own communities.

najla-minmily Service (SFS) held a Cultural Awareness & Sensitivity Training for School Staff at Horace Mann Middle School on May 27th and 28th. The workshops focused on informing school staff on Somali culture and how it might impact students in and outside of the classroom. A diverse group of teachers, social workers, and other school staff were in attendance. The workshops included presentations and ongoing discourse between the speakers and the audience.
